People and Animals CIC utilise the non-threatening appeal of animals and nature-based activities to overcome barriers faced, regardless of physical or learning disability, mental health challenges, age, culture, economic status or background. They offer alternative education programmes for children and Young People.
At Wisbech Theraputic Farm they have a range of farm animals such as pigs, goat, sheep and horses. They also have domesticated animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.
The farm also has a great sensory garden and vegetable patches for the students to learn how to grow a variety of fruit and vegetables.
Young People - Alternative Education
They believe every young person deserves the opportunity to flourish and succeed. That's why they're dedicated to providing innovative alternative education provisions and impactful youth work initiatives designed to ignite passion, foster growth, and unlock potential.

Adult - Day Opportunities
Gardening? Woodworking? Animal care or crafting? There are so many ways to make new friends down here on the farm.
As a recognised ASDAN centre, they endeavour to build upon each individual’s motivations, delivering both standard and bespoke ASDAN programmes, which enable their service users to build confidence, self-esteem and skills in an environment that is safe and supportive. Examples of their vocational ASDAN Short Course Awards made available to young people and adults include; equine care, animal care, land management, carpentry and peer mentoring. The model of day service provision and educational opportunities that they adopt here at Wisbech Community Farm, harnesses the appeal of animals and nature.

Meet Katie from People and Animals:
‘In January my life was going no where. Suffering at home with my mental health issues. Today not even 6 months on they have all given me the confidence to speak to other people, to be around dogs for the first time in my life and I am 48 years old and now I’m a volunteer for the people and animals group.’
