People and Animals Drop in

Back to Activities

Join the friendly team at People and Animals to help them improve the local green spaces, share a skill or learn something new. Or just join like minded people for a cup of tea and a chat.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it is a great way to give back as well as learning new skills
  • it is great to spend some time outdoors and with nature
  • it is an opportunity to connect with other people

‘In January my life was going no where. Suffering at home with my mental health issues. Today not even 6 months on they have all given me the confidence to speak to other people, to be around dogs for the first time in my life and I am 48 years old and now I’m a volunteer for the people and animals group.’

What to expect?

This weekly session held at the Oasis Centre is a great chance to meet some friendly people, get involved in some light activity or to sit and have a chat.

On arriving at the centre you will be directed to the correct room by the reception staff.  You will received a warm greeting and be offered a drink. You can spend some time relaxing or get involved in one of the activities going on.

It currently runs on Tuesdays 3 -4:30pm.  You can check their facebook page for any updates.
