Healthy Fenland – Care Network Cambridgeshire

Back to Support

Care Network's Healthy Fenland team can help you with all aspects of setting up a community group or activity. They will support you to get started and to complete an application to the Healthy Fenland Fund (managed by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation).

Care Network has already helped hundreds of groups and activities set up and run safely across Cambridgeshire. Starting a group or activity isn’t difficult but they are on hand to offer expert knowledge and support to get things off to a good start.

Once a group or activity is up and running, Care Network step back and let you get on with things but be reassured that they are always in the background to offer more help and support as needed.

So, if you have ever thought of starting a new group or activity in your community, the Care Network Community Development Team is here to help. They need you to help them to build your community!

Other services offered by Care Network:

  • Help at Home – practical and emotional support from volunteers to help rebuild confidence and independence, following a hospital stay or difficult period (such as bereavement or ill health)
  • Community Navigator –information and support to access local services and activities to improve personal circumstances and wellbeing
  • Wellbeing – strength-based tailored one-to-one support for people feeling low or anxious to help them develop coping strategies, make personal connections, and build resilience
