Ferry Project

Back to Support

Ferry Project is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity that provides emergency accommodation and longer-term help for those experiencing homelessness in the Fenland area, with a range of support on their journey towards independent living.

What to expect:

Ferry Project provides a range of services to the local community with the aim of both preventing homelessness where possible and if homelessness does occur then supporting the person out of it.

They now offer short and long term accommodation for single people from all backgrounds - which can be for as little as one night or as much as 18 months.

Referrals can be made by phone on 01945 754080 or email [email protected]. They also take referrals from partner agencies such as Fenland District Council.

Once you have been referred they will arrange a time for you to come in and have a chat with one of their HUB staff, so they can discuss how they can best support you.

You will be assigned a keyworker who will meet with you to discuss your situation and work out a support plan tailored to your individual needs and ambitions. You will have weekly meetings with your keyworker to see how you are doing and discuss any concerns you have.

All of their accommodation is based on single, private rooms with en suite facilities. Meals are served in communal areas and there may be some communal activities that you can engage in. There are communal spaces where you can meet and socialise with other clients if you want to.

Clients who are ready to move on from their Hostel usually transfer across to their resettlement accommodation where they can be more independent but are also able to access support if they need it. From there, they can move out to independent living, although the Ferry Project will always be there if anyone needs their support again.
