The Whittlesey Recovery Café runs from the Studio and is an opportunities to get creative with a variety of projects, or chat to others over a cup of tea or coffee.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it’s a chance to connect with others and receive mutual aid

 

  • it’s a chance to chat and share experiences with like-minded people
  • it’s a chance to try different activities that may be running

What to expect?

No invite or booking needed, just drop in and join for coffee and cake!

The sessions are run by staff and volunteers from Cambridgeshire Recovery Service. All materials are provided. There will be a range of creative activities from drawing, painting, flower printing with clay, and more. Activities change from week to week based on what attendees would like to do, with the facilitators being on hand to guide you through anything you may be unsure of. Or alternatively, sit and enjoy a cuppa whilst chatting to the other attendees.

The Whittlesey Art & Recovery Café is based at The Studio at The Salvation Army.  There is no parking at the building however there is free parking in local car parks or on street parking.

More information

The Whittlesey Recovery Café runs every Tuesday from 10am to 12:30pm.

It’s a space to bring out your more creative side; you do not need to be an artist, just enjoy the therapeutic value of being creative in a safe, relaxed community space.

This safe space provides you with a chance to connect and talk with others in the recovery community, learn what has helped them, and share what helps you maintain your wellbeing.

The Whittlesey Recovery Café is also a good place to come if you have any questions about the recovery community or what it means to enter treatment for a drug- or alcohol-related addiction.
