The Young People’s Counselling Service (YPCS) is a registered charity providing a free and confidential service that can be accessed by anyone aged between 11 and 18 years old in emotional difficulty. They operate from several locations including Wisbech.

Walking into the Young People’s Counselling Service in Wisbech:

 

The Young People’s Counselling Service offer up to 12 sessions of free counselling for young people aged 11-18. Young people can refer themselves, or be referred by a parent/carer, GP, professional or school.

 

The Centre in Wisbech is offering face to face counselling sessions.  The Centre also has some availability to hire rooms out to other groups and services that support young people . Contact YPCS for more details.

 

Both Centre33 and The Kite Trust run some activities and services from this venue.

YPCS provides a safe space for young people to talk. Common problems encountered include family and relationship difficulties, issues regarding loneliness and anxiety, problems associated with low self esteem and bullying, self harm, abuse, addiction, distress through bereavement or loss, depression and difficulty with decision making.

They offer integrative counselling, psychodynamic counselling, humanistic counselling, eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing and play and creative arts therapy, so young people can find an approach that best suits them and their needs.

They also have resources available that can help support young people and their families such as guides, videos and activities.
