What to expect

At The Thrive Hive, they believe day opportunities should be so much more than just a place to pass the time. As a result, they have evolved the traditional meaning of day opportunities into something dynamic, creative and empowering.

A key part of what they do is supporting employability, independence and volunteering. Their activities are designed to develop practical life skills, teamwork and problem-solving, while offering opportunities to contribute through volunteering projects that make a difference within the local community. Individuals are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, build independence at their own pace, and explore pathways towards greater autonomy, whether that means preparing for work, gaining volunteering experience or simply becoming more confident in daily life.

The Thrive Hive is also a social enterprise. This means that every activity, every project and every penny is reinvested back into the community. By taking part in purposeful activities and community-based projects, individuals gain a real sense of achievement and belonging, while the wider community benefits from their skills, creativity and contribution.

Transport for pick-up/drop-off is available for mileage costs.

The Goldhay Centre venue is fully accessible.

Free taster sessions are actively encouraged for people to see if they like it.
