Samaritans Peterborough and District

Back to Support

Peterborough and District Samaritans is a welcoming, inclusive, friendly and vibrant community of around 70 volunteers who offer emotional support to hundreds of callers every week.

Peterborough Samaritans has been supporting Peterborough and the surrounding area for 50 years.

What’s going on locally?

As well as delivering our listening service, they support HMP Peterborough and HMP North Sea Camp by training prisoners to provide emotional support to their peers.

Their Outreach team regularly deliver talks and/or training at schools, local employers and community groups. And of course, they host the occasional fundraiser.

Visit their website for more information.

Calling Samaritans is free.

Samaritans do offer some specialist interventions to organisations such as schools.
