What’s it like getting a Healthy You NHS Health Check?
HAY team member Susan decided to find out since she’s within the age range for checks to spot early signs of stroke, diabetes, and more. She just rang the phone number – there are lots of convenient venues – and arranged a time at one near her. At the appointment, a friendly professional conducted the checks which include a finger prick blood test. She was given her results right there, and if there is a problem they refer you to your GP right away. The appointment is only 20-30 minutes long and you can get all sorts of great info about healthy life styles.
