Golden Age Fairs

Back to Support

Golden Age Fairs are relaxed, informal drop-in events run by Fenland District Council. These free events are a great chance to meet and chat to over 30 local services, or just relax with some tea and cake.

What to Expect:

Golden Age Fairs are full of stands staffed by organisations that provide opportunities, services and support to people age 60 and over. They're relaxed and informal, and visitors can drop in any time to wander the stalls and discover what's on offer. Entrance is free.

You can just drop into the next advertised venue at any time between the published event times. Details of the next event will appear at: www.fenland.gov.uk/goldenage

Come along to the next Golden Age event for a friendly welcome. Stroll the stands at your leisure, chat to service providers, enjoy free refreshments and take home a free goodie bag.

More Information:

Golden Age events are coordinated and enabled by Fenland District Council with support from partners, and have been running for over 20 years.

At each event there are around 25 - 30 organisations represented from a pool of around 80.

The attending organisations could include those that provide services to do with:

  • independent living
  • emotions and wellbeing
  • finances
  • law
  • carers
  • health
  • home security
  • transport
  • learning
  • social and volunteering opportunities.

Golden Age Fairs are for anyone with an interest in services for people age 60+, whether they are over 60 themselves or a carer, friend, family member or advocate for someone who is.

The fairs are held different villages and towns across Fenland, usually in village halls and community centres.

These events are free to attend.
