Fenland Families and Baby Bank CIC is a non profit community organisation, to support families in the Fenland area who are experiencing financial hardship and require support with accessing baby goods for their family.
Fenland Families and Baby Bank’s aim is to help relieve child poverty, for families with children between the age of 0-5 years old, where their parents/carer are experiencing financial hardship.
Their friendly team of local volunteers are there to support the local community of Fenland with baby and children’s clothes, toys, bedding and most things a young family could need. Items are donated and exchanged by members of the local and surrounding community.
Parents can be referred from professionals such as social services, health visitor, midwife, schools, women’s refuge etc. Referrals can be made by phone.
Free parking is available on the Market Square in Wisbech.
The Fenland Families and Baby bank can only remain open through grant funding and through the kind donations and small purchases that people make when accessing the Baby Bank.
When people are referred by professionals, individual circumstances are assessed to make items low cost or free as possible.
As the baby bank needs to cover running cost, people are asked to make an affordable donation to buy goods.
