Declutter Together is a free peer support group for people living with excess clutter. The group meets monthly online. It is a safe, friendly space where you can exchange ideas, tips and resources with others with experience of excess clutter or who consider themselves to hoard.
What to expect
The group meets via Microsoft Teams on the first Tuesday of each month from 6.30 – 8pm. It is an informal, relaxed, non-judgemental group which is co-produced by its members. The group runs on a drop-in basis – there is no obligation to attend every session, just go along as often as you like.
Each meeting starts with a check-in where people can share how they are feeling. This is followed by an open discussion about excess clutter and decluttering. This may include people sharing resources or hints and tips they have found useful in their own decluttering process. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion as much or as little as they are comfortable with.
Group members have reflected that being part of this group has helped them to feel less lonely, increased their motivation to declutter, and given them helpful tips and advice which they have been able to put into practice.
