Cam Sight

Back to Support

Cam Sight runs monthly groups across Cambridgeshire for adults living with low vision and blindness, their carers, and their family members. The groups provide an opportunity to meet and share tips with others within the community with similar experiences.

Cam Sight offers:

  • Peer support groups
  • Benefits advice
  • Befrienders
  • Guides
  • Equipment advice

Groups meet on a weekday morning or afternoon for members to enjoy a range of different activities from guest speakers, entertainment, quizzes, and light refreshment. Members are kept updated on the newest equipment and support available from Cam Sight and other local and national organisations.

Currently Cam Sight run a Peer Support Group on the 1st Wednesday of Each Month 10am – 12pm at the King Edwards Community Centre in Chatteris.

They also go Ten Pin Bowling every 3rd Wednesday of the Month at Play 2 Day in Guyhirn. Carers and relatives are welcome to attend these sessions. However please contact Cam Sight to confirm the activities are running.

Visit their website for more information including the latest details on times and locations of group meetings in other areas.

There is no membership fee for their support groups.

Cam Sight can advise on equipment and then source, should you choose to acquire something.
