Strength & Flex is a chair-based exercise class for adults in Wisbech. This friendly group is suitable for all abilities and fitness levels. It aims to increase strength and flexibility, and improve balance.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it supports you to improve physical and mental wellbeing
  • it’s a friendly and sociable group
  • many attendees stop for coffee before or after the class

What to expect?

On arrival at the Trinity Church, walk past the café into the room at the bottom of the corridor. There are a few steps down to the room, but there is a wheelchair lift if you need it.

There’s no need to book, you can just turn up. Wear comfortable clothing and trainers or sensible shoes. No equipment is necessary.

This is a popular group with around 10 -15 people with a mix of ages, genders and abilities.

For any new starters you will be asked to complete a pre-exercise questionnaire for basic information about your health and any issues or limitations to exercise.

There are an accessible toilet and lift to the hall.

Strength & Flex is a weekly exercise class run at the Trinity Methodist Church in Wisbech. It runs on a Friday at 11am for one hour.

The group is lead by Jane, who started the group three years ago. She is a qualified professional and has running chair-based exercise classes for six years. Jane also works as a qualified health trainer.

The friendly class runs for an hour. Jane demonstrates a variety of exercises to music that will suit all tastes.

The group is for all adults and has people attend from a range of ages. This is an inclusive class and is suitable for limited abilities and people with limited fitness levels.

There is a charge per class.
