Street Pride

Street Pride gives volunteers the opportunity to make a difference to their local environment by holding clean-up events and getting involved in environmental enhancement projects. It's a great way to meet people and give back to your community.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Communities are able to influence and address local issues of interest in them
  • Being active outdoors is great for our physical and wellbeing . Exercise can make us feel better and raise self esteem.
  • You will socialise with like minded people, reduces feeling of isolation

 

There are a number of well established volunteer groups across Fenland. Many groups have their own Facebook pages to publicise upcoming events and the great work that they do.

New volunteers are always welcome. Whether you have lots of time or only a little to spare, joining a group is a great way to meet like minded people where you live.
