Phoenix Youth Provision

Back to Activities

Phoenix Youth Provision is for young people (11-18) in Whittlesey and surrounding villages. It has opportunities to socialise in a safe space, as well as access to support and advice from qualified youth workers. Their Youth committee ensures the service is youth lead.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • PYP improves self esteem and self confidence. Supports ability to manage personal and social relationships.
  • PYP provides informal opportunities to learn new skills, attitudes and knowledge, with support for mental health and emotional well-being.
  • It is a Safe space to access professionally qualified youth workers for support, guidance and advice.

PYP Youth Committee – ‘We have chance to voice our opinions and ideas. We are encouraged to think about what we think is needed locally for young people, and what we can do to help make these things happen. The youth workers listen to our views. Its a new project so its really good we have been able to join the youth committee for PYP from the start’

What to expect?

Prior to attending the drop in, you will need to complete a registration form (to provide parental consent and share details of any health needs you may have.)

There are several groups of diverse young people from Whittlesey. If you want to know which would be the most suitable to attend, get in touch with PYP and they can let you know.

Their youth committee usually meets before the drop in sessions and is a chance for activities and chats about what young people would like.

When you first attend you will be greeted by one of Youth workers who will sign you in, show you around the building and introduce you to other people and help you feel comfortable.
