Open Doors – Wisbech Baptist Church

Back to Activities

Open Doors is an opportunity to enjoy a drink of tea or coffee with others at the Wisbech Baptist Church. You can also enjoy games and a friendly chat.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It’s a chance to enjoy a warm drink in a warm space
  • You can enjoy a cuppa in the company of other people
  • You can get involved in games, jigsaws, table tennis or pool

Meet Open Doors:

What to expect:

Everyone is welcome at Open Doors. The friendly volunteers will be sure to give you a warm welcome and show you around if necessary.  Lin, Lynette and Kevin are usually around and will be sure to chat to you throughout your visit.

You don’t need to book, and you are welcome to drop in at any time between 10am – 1.45pm.

Teas, coffees and biscuits are all available for free. You can even enjoy a cuppa soup and a roll if you wish.

Games and jigsaws are available if you feel like getting involved, or you can sit and chat with other attendees.  There is always a book exchange should you wish to take a book away.

A pool table and table tennis are available to play if you fancy a game.

More Information:

Open Doors has been running at Wisbech Baptist Church for the last 15 years.  It was started and remains to be volunteer lead and funded.

The Baptist Church is fully accessible and toilets are available in the building.

The Baptist Church also hosts the food bank, and several volunteers at Open Doors also have links with Christians Against Poverty who support people with debt issues.  Please speak to a volunteer if you want to know more.

It is free to attend. However you are welcome to make a donation.
