What to Expect

You do not need to book but it’s advised to confirm you attendance by contacting Matt.  He will be happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about attending.

Sessions have been funded through Care Network’s “Healthy Fenland” project which has enabled the Club to purchase items of kit such as football boots, so no need to worry if you don’t own any, these can be loaned during the session.

Once kitted out you will have a quick warm up and the rules will be explained for anyone new to walking football.  The group usually plays for about an hour, but you can sit out at any point.

More Information

These sessions of walking football are an inclusive way for people to enjoy football.  Walking football is popular across Fenland and enjoyed by men and women of all ages.  It’s ideal if you are looking at getting back into physical activity or if you wish to play football at a different pace.

Sessions are run by a qualified football coach at a brand new state of the art facility. They are aimed at supporting people who may want to maintain or improve their mental wellbeing, in a supportive and friendly environment.

Currently around 13 members attend, but there is space for many more players.  The sessions are weekly but don’t worry if you can’t attend every week.

The first 4 sessions are free.

The club will charge a small fee after the 4th session to support the sessions to run ongoing. If you’re struggling to pay please speak to Matt.
