The Journaling for Wellbeing group, launched in January 2025, offers a safe space to share life experiences, express feelings, support one another, and explore creative ways to document life through journaling. Open conversations, tears, and hugs are always welcome.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- It’s a safe and welcoming space where everyone can share what’s going on in their lives. The groups are small, so there’s plenty of time to talk without feeling rushed and what’s said stays in the room.
- They chat about communication and how to handle life’s challenges. It’s a chance to share ideas, get advice, and support each other through whatever’s happening.
- Writing things down really helps clear your mind. Journaling lets you reflect on your feelings, track progress, and see how far you’ve come—it’s a great way to feel more in control.
'I am new to the journaling group and was introduced to it by Andrea following a powerful set of Reiki sessions with her. The group are warm and friendly and have made me feel very welcome. I find it a confidential space for me to creatively explore and share my inner and outer world experiences without judgement. I use drawing and writing to capture events, thoughts and feelings of the moment which helps me make sense of where I am in my life and opens up opportunities for future paths. I am very much looking forward to what the group will bring in the new year!' - Attendee

What to Expect
Journalling for Wellbeing is open to anyone aged 18 and over. It offers a calm, supportive space where participants can talk about what’s happening in their lives and learn how to use journaling as a way to clear the mind.
On a first visit, Andrea greets each person, introduces them to the group, and makes sure they feel comfortable with a seat and a drink. There’s no need for prior experience. Participants simply bring a notebook and pen. A helpful leaflet on journaling is provided to take home, and techniques are explained during the session.
Groups are kept small, usually three or four people, so everyone has time to share without feeling rushed. Sessions last around an hour and a half, and while most stay for the full time, leaving early is always an option.
More Information
Andrea is present at every session to lead introductions and offer support. A WhatsApp group is available for those who want to stay connected outside of the sessions.
Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Morning and late afternoon sessions are currently available, while the lunchtime group is full. Bringing a guest depends on availability, so it’s best to check first.
There is plenty of parking along the village green near the entrance. The therapy room has two steps with a grab handle, and while wheelchair access isn’t available yet, improvements are planned. A toilet is available on site. The entrance includes a metal gate and a gravel path.
Participants can dress however they feel comfortable. Refreshments are provided, or they can bring their own. Please note that dogs are not allowed.
Andrea is a trained holistic therapist and also offers a range of Holistic Treatments such as Reiki and Meditation.

There is a fee per session, please contact Andrea for up-to-date prices. Payments can be made in cash or bank transfer on the day.
Depending on space available, carers or support people can attend for free, and it would be lovely if they joined in.

Sessions are free for ex-service personnel.
