Inclusive Parties CIC

Back to Activities

Inclusive Parties hosts events for all neurodivergent and disabled adults in East Anglia, with the aim of helping them to feel included.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it gives a sense of belonging;
  • it reduces isolation;
  • it's a fun way to get some physical activity!

"I love to go the The Club and see my friends. I like to do the arts and crafts and dance in the disco room."

Meet Natalie who runs Inclusive Parties:

What to expect

Inclusive Parties is a sister company to Safe Soulmates. All events hosted by Inclusive Parties are run for the neurodivergent and disabled community. The two main ones are:

The Club is a social club that runs on the last Friday of the month (closed August and December) at the City College Peterborough, from 7-9pm. There is a computer room, tuck shop, arts and crafts sessions, and a disco to enjoy. The disco is in a side hall but there are other rooms away from that so you can chill out in a quite room if the disco is too loud.

The Club is free to attend on your first night so you can see if you like it. After this it is £5 for each session you attend. You will also need to sign up for a free membership to The Club so staff have information like emergency contacts etc. You can come to any/all club nights without prior booking. You can bring a support person (most people do), and it is free for them to attend.

If you want to come look around before they open that is fine, please arrange with them beforehand. They will be happy to help with any adjustments that are needed.

One of their directors, Natalie, is at every event and she will be at the front door to welcome you. You can contact her on 07442 685933 or via [email protected]

The Steve Ball Disco runs five times a year at Millfield Community Centre, and are advertised throughout the year. They run from 7 - 10.30pm. For these you'll need a ticket, which are on sale in many places and can also be reserved through Inclusive Parties' Facebook page, email, or text. Attendees have the option of dinner (jacket potatoes or sausage and chips) at the event. If you want to have a jacket potato dinner, you will need to purchase a ticket at least a week prior to the event to ensure they order enough food. You can just show up at the event and purchase a ticket at the door if you want sausage and chips, or are not wanting dinner. There is a small charge to attend even without dinner, to cover hall hire cost.

You can bring a support person to the discos, and they will also need to purchase a ticket - either with dinner or without.

More information

Inclusive Parties is not a support company, so will only be able to provided support in emergencies. If you require support, please bring a support person with you.

The Club tends to have around 60 people in attendance, and the Discos can have up to 120 attendees, all with differing disabilities and abilities.

All venues where events are hosted have car parks and disabled parking, as well as a disabled toilet. They have either a tuck shop or bar where refreshments can be purchased.

The Club is held at City College Peterborough, which is closed during The Club hours, so you will need to enter through the back entrance off Crawthorne Road (the carpark entrance is opposite a fish & chip shop).

Your first time in The Club is free. Support people who attend with a fee-paying guest are free at the Club.

After your first time, The Club is £5 a night. Food and drinks can be purchased at the tuck shop as well.

The Steve Ball Disco has two options for tickets: with food is £6 and no food is £2. All attending, including support people, will need to pay for a ticket. There is also a bar where drinks can be purchased.

They accept both card or cash, but cash is preferred due to signal issues with payment machines.
