Fenland Volunteer Blends are informal coffee mornings which run once a month in each market town, with guest speakers sharing their volunteering roles. Rima and Sarah will be on hand to help you explore various other volunteering opportunities too.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- it’s a chance to meet new people
- you can find out things to do that are good for your local community
- you can gain new skills and build confidence
‘It was so lovely to hear about all the different opportunities there are to volunteer with some brilliant organisations in Fenland’ – Attendee

Meet Rima and Sarah from volunteer Cambs:
What to expect:
Fenland Volunteer Blends run once a month in each market town in Fenland. There’s no need to book, you can just pop in.
Chatteris is on the 3rd Monday of the month, 10am – 12pm
March is the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 10- 12pm
Wisbech is the 3rd Thursday of the month, 10am – 12pm
Whittlesey is the 3rd Friday of the month, 10am – 12pm.
They are open to anyone of any age who would be interested in hearing more about local opportunities to volunteer in their community, or you can come and enjoy a drink and other refreshments.
The coffee mornings run for 2 hours and usually start with an informal chat to say hello to attendees. A guest speaker from a local organisation is invited to do a short talk about their volunteering roles and will be happy to answer any questions.
Following the talk, Sarah and Rima will be on hand to talk about any other opportunities you may be interested in, or help you find other volunteering roles.
All the buildings are fully accessible and have toilets. Free local parking is available near all venues.
More information:
Volunteer Cambs is a project of Support Cambridgeshire. Together, both the Hunts Forum of Voluntary Organisations (Hunts Forum) and the Cambridge Council for Voluntary Services (CCVS) work under the Support Cambridgeshire branding to develop countywide services to the voluntary and community sector.
Volunteer Cambs aims to:
- provide a website for those looking to see what community activities are happening around them and how they can engage with these meaningfully by giving their time to support them
- support volunteer-involving organisations to have another way to promote what they do and request help with their activities, whether that be ongoing roles or an appeal for one-off help
Rima and Sarah are Fenland-based and are focused on supporting organisations and the public match up with local volunteering.
It is free to attend and refreshments are provided free of charge.
