Creative dramatic arts organisation LEADA run a drama club for children and young people based in Wisbech. The classes are all about raising self-esteem and confidence. People tell their stories through acting, singing, movement, puppetry, mask and music.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it helps a person feel they belong to a group and they are truly inclusive, everyone is welcome and anything is possible.
  • it helps boost self esteem and confidence.
  • it helps people to be socially active, make friends and being in the company of like minded people.

 

Drama groups caters for children of various ages:

First Stage Y1 – Y5

Creative and active fun and games, Drama and theatre, story making, singing together, making friends and having the best time!

Upstage Y6 – Y8

All the above plus more meaty drama, more active exploration of ideas, more exciting and challenging projects and lots of laughs!

Centre Stage Y9 – Y12

Grown up class for those who want it all: to explore current topics, be themselves, seriously dark and funny laugh-out-loud moments!

LEADA offers a taster session for free.

 

 

 

Membership fees are payable per half term.

LEADA sometimes organise additional trips and masterclasses which may be chargeable.

LEADA are a Community Interest Company which means everything they do is for the PEOPLE in their COMMUNITY.
Any profits they make go back into the funds for Creative Dramatic Arts projects for the benefit of local people.
