March - Activities at March Indoor Bowls Club

Back to Activities

March Indoor Bowls Club hosts a range of activities such as table tennis, pickleball and indoor bowls. There are various sessions that run throughout the week.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It encourages movement that will improve mobility, fitness and general wellbeing.
  • Sessions are friendly with drinks available for a chat when not playing.
  • It's a good opportunity to talk with other people as well as find out about local groups, activities and services.

'I plucked up the courage to come along to a session, it was quite daunting to walk through the door for the first time, however I was made to feel very welcome and soon joined in with everyone else. Great fun and a friendly atmosphere.' An attendee

What to expect

You are welcome to contact the Club before you attend to let them know which activities you would like to try - other Club members can give you an introduction at a quiet time or during the different sessions, either as part of a group or on your own.

The Club welcomes all abilities, no prior experience is needed and all equipment is provided free of charge. The first few sessions are free, they just want you to have a good experience and see if it’s something you would want to do on a regular basis. Even if you don't want to take part in an activity, you can come along to watch and have a chat. You don't have to stay for the whole session.

With a variety of club leagues, national and county competitions, as well as friendly fixtures, you can enjoy a game of bowls whether you're a competitive or a social bowler.

More information

There is plenty of parking at the Club. There are toilets and changing rooms, but unfortunately no disabled toilet facilities - however there is ramp access and it's all on one level.

To confirm the time and dates of these sessions please contact the Club using the details provided.

All taster sessions and promotions are free of charge.

There is a small membership fee to join the Club and then a charge per hour.  Please check with the Club for up to date prices.
