What to expect:

Manea Pit is located off Park Road, on the edge of the village. It was once a gravel pit.

There are several entrances into Manea Pit.  There is an entrance next to the children's park where there is free parking. Another entrance is  accessible slightly further down the road, this entrance brings you closer to the Orchard.

The pit is popular with many people including dog walkers, fishermen, children, ramblers and more – it is a place for everyone to enjoy.  There is a footpath that goes around the lake, which is woodchip in part so may be difficult for wheelchairs and scooters.

It has a wide range of species, mammals, insects, plants, trees and shrubs. The lake has species of fish including tench, rudd, bream, carp and roach.

There are no toilets at this location.  There is a local shop further down park road.
